Clouds of Doom

I'm afraid this will have to be a two part entry, because I've just learned of Hunter's suicide and it is hard for me to gather my thoughts completely at this time.
Like any good writer he abused substances and his women, but Hunter was more than that, much more to a helluva lot of people.
Hunter played the role in my life of reminding me, at a crucial time nonetheless, what it meant to just let it rip, and write away. He externalized the fear in his brutish vernacular...He created a persona bigger than life and falsified til the bear lies shined through. He reminded us that seeing the truth is not always a pure and beautiful experience...
Hunter was flawed as we all are, but he created, he inspired--and his work and influence will carry us on through these dark times.
RIP:HST
to be continued...
